Do you want to learn about kayak paddling? Book a fantastic course for you and your friends in the wilds of the Bohuslän coast.

An easy way for beginners to turn experienced

Are you a beginner and want to learn as much as possible straight away or have had a little experience on day trips and want to develop your kayaking? This course will see us out on the water for three days, paddling in the Gåsö archipelago or paddling around Skaftö. The tour will be depending on the wind and weather. The course starts at 13.00 on day 1 and finishes on day 3 at 17.00. We sleep overnight in tents. Lunch on the last day is at Smultron & Tång.

Details

Cost include kayak, spray deck, paddle, life jacket and food. Packing list for the weekend paddling is attached below.

Schedule

Day 1
13.00 Welcome, safety drills and exercises, tea/coffee and snack.
14.00-16.00 Safety exercises, re-entering the kayak and helping others re-enter.
17.30 Evening meal on the jetty.
18.30 Paddle out to the camping site and pitch tent. Evening around the campfire.

Day 2
Paddling – the makeup of the group and the weather decide our route.
On this day we practice navigation, wave paddling, have time to develop our paddling skills and eat good food.

Day 3
Saturday’s work on paddling techniques continues.
14.00 Arrive in Grundsund.
15.00 Late lunch at Smultron & Tång.
17:00 End of course.
